Starting Strong: A Brand Session for a New Realtor
Starting a new career in real estate is exciting, overwhelming, and full of potential. There’s a lot to learn and even more to do. You’re building your brand, learning the market, trying to stand out, and hoping to make a good first impression. It’s a lot, especially when you’re starting completely from scratch.
Recently, I worked with a brand new realtor who is doing just that. She came to me with a blank slate.
We booked a mini branding session to give her the photos she needed to build her online presence and begin showing up confidently and consistently. New headshots, lifestyle photos, behind-the-scenes images, and content she can use for her Instagram, business cards, email signature, and future website.
This is what I love about branding photography. It’s not just about getting a simple photo for your profile picture. It’s about setting the tone for how people see you. When you’re in a business like real estate where trust and personal connection matter, your branding has to reflect who you are and what kind of experience you offer.
Why starting strong matters
When you're new in the industry, it can feel like you have to wait until you’re more experienced to present yourself professionally. But the truth is, first impressions matter. The way you show up online tells people a lot about how seriously you take your work, even if you’re just getting started.
Having professional branding photos helps you look confident and polished right from the start. It builds trust and shows potential clients that you’re invested in what you do. You don’t have to pretend to have years of experience, but you can show up with clarity and consistency.
Shot List and Must Haves:
For this session, we focused on clean, natural light and locations that felt both professional and approachable. She chose outfits that made her feel confident, put-together, professional and relatable. We shot a mix of posed and candid photos to give her a variety of content she can use across her new social media and other platforms.
We created updated headshots for her business cards and profile images. We also shot lifestyle photos she can use on her Instagram to tell more of her story, working on her laptop, holding her phone, connecting with clients, and standing outside properties. We made sure to include a few simple photos with lots of white space so she can easily add text, quotes, or market updates.
All of these images are tools. They help tell the story of her brand, even if her career is just beginning.
If you're ready to build your brand from the ground up, I’d love to help.
